Showroom teams needed visibility into inventory available across Victorinox India's four warehouses while discussing products and processing sales orders.
E-catalogue for Victorinox
A digital e-catalogue platform developed for Victorinox India to replace physical printed catalogues and give showroom and internal teams access to product information and inventory availability from four warehouses across India. The solution included a custom middleware layer that connected Victorinox's proprietary ERP inventory system with a responsive web-based catalogue through serviceable APIs.

Project overview
The objective was to replace Victorinox India's dependency on physical printed product catalogues with a digital catalogue connected to its existing inventory infrastructure.
The platform was designed to provide the convenience of an e-commerce-style product browsing experience while supporting the actual sales and operational workflow of Victorinox showrooms.
The complete product range, including unique SKUs and product information, needed to be easily searchable and accessible without relying on printed catalogues.
Sales, Operations, Billing and Leadership teams needed a centralized digital source for product and stock information.
The challenge
The primary challenge was not simply creating a catalogue website. Victorinox already had an inventory system, but the proprietary ERP did not provide a web interface suitable for showroom teams or direct integration with a modern web platform.
Critical product and inventory information existed inside a proprietary ERP environment that was not directly accessible through the web.
A printed catalogue could display products, but it could not tell sales teams whether a particular SKU was currently available when a customer wanted to place an order.
Inventory information had to be made accessible from four central warehouses across India, giving teams better visibility while processing customer requirements.
The proprietary ERP was not designed to directly serve data to a public-facing or browser-based application, requiring an intermediate integration architecture.
Sales teams needed product and stock information at their fingertips while interacting with customers and preparing sales orders.
Our solution
Apptroid Technology designed and developed the complete integration and web platform—from extracting inventory information from the proprietary ERP to presenting products and stock availability through a responsive e-catalogue.
ERP Integration Layer
We first studied the existing ERP architecture and identified how product, SKU and inventory information could be securely retrieved without replacing Victorinox's existing ERP.
Custom Middleware
A custom middleware layer was developed between the proprietary ERP and the web application. This acted as the bridge between the legacy inventory environment and the new digital platform.
Serviceable APIs
ERP inventory and unique SKU information was transformed into structured, serviceable APIs that could be consumed by the e-catalogue application.
SKU & Warehouse Inventory
SKU-level inventory information from four warehouses across India was made accessible through the integration layer, allowing users to check product availability digitally.
Responsive E-Catalogue Platform
Apptroid developed the complete web-based catalogue with product listings, product information, imagery, SKUs and inventory visibility in an interface designed to feel similar to a modern e-commerce platform.
How the system worked
Visual highlights
Departments benefitted
The platform became more than a replacement for printed catalogues. By combining product information with inventory visibility, it supported multiple teams involved in the sales and fulfilment process.
Operations
Operations teams gained centralized visibility into products and stock availability across four warehouses, reducing dependency on manual inventory checks.
Billing
Better SKU and stock visibility helped billing teams work with more accurate product information during sales-order processing.
Sales
Showroom and sales teams could browse products digitally and check stock availability while interacting with customers instead of switching between a printed catalogue and separate inventory systems.
Leadership
Leadership gained better accessibility to product and inventory information through a centralized digital platform rather than depending exclusively on ERP access or operational teams.
The impact
Physical Catalogue → Digital Catalogue
Reduced dependency on repeatedly printed product catalogues and created a catalogue that could evolve with the product range.
ERP Data → Accessible Information
Converted inventory information locked inside a proprietary ERP into usable digital services accessible through a web platform.
4 Warehouses → Centralized Visibility
Made stock information from four central warehouses available through a single catalogue experience.
Product Browsing + Inventory
Unlike a traditional printed catalogue, the platform combined product discovery with inventory availability.
Faster Sales Support
Enabled showroom teams to access product and stock information during customer interactions and sales-order preparation.
Cross-Department Utility
Created value across Sales, Operations, Billing and Leadership rather than functioning as only a marketing catalogue.
Apptroid's middleware architecture extended the capabilities of the existing proprietary ERP without requiring Victorinox to replace its core inventory system.
Conclusion
This project demonstrated how an existing proprietary enterprise system could be modernized without replacing the underlying ERP.
Apptroid Technology created the middleware, APIs and responsive e-catalogue required to transform ERP inventory data into an accessible digital experience. The result was a practical system that replaced the limitations of printed catalogues with product discovery and warehouse inventory visibility at the fingertips of Victorinox India's teams.
